At St Mary’s we take safeguarding seriously and are concerned with the wholeness and wellbeing of each individual. We want everyone to feel valued, welcome and safe in our church buildings and at all of our activities.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, so we make sure that we follow a safe recruitment policy. We support encourage and educate all staff and volunteers working with children and adults to understand the importance of safeguarding in all aspects of their work.
Our safeguarding policy and procedures comply with the House of Bishops 2017 Policy ‘Promoting a Safer Church’.
